I don't know about LightRoom import (I run Linux), but from the LightTable view in DarkTable, there is a Tagging module that allows you to apply tags to the selected image(s). I find Robert Hutton's videos to be very useful: Orbmiser said: “ Still haven't found an easy way to add tags manually or imported from lightroom. But can't keep the customer waiting for results. Just upgraded it to 1.4 tho and plan at some point to really dive in and give it a serious attempt in actual business workflow on a daily basis. And still only a vague clue of what I'm doing is the best/easiest way. And been cheating out back to Lightroom as can knock out a dozen images in the time it takes to do 1-3 in darktable. Or video's that are which the majority are in a foreign language and all over the place in specific subject type tutorials and nothing complete starting at point A in the workflow to going to point B with complete step by step instructions as the workflow progresses.ĭarktable is a powerful and worthy tool. There is a nice manual but a bit light on in-depth use with examples. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? Like I said hard to find out how to do specific things in lightroom. And still haven't found an easy way as seems darktable wants you to double-click on each tag for each image? Or I can copy or apply multiple tags on import. In lightroom all I have to do is import all the images are selected and I can either type multiple tags out with comma's. Still haven't found an easy way to add tags manually or imported from lightroom. And trying to find the ones I need then figure out how to use them efficiently. As easy to be overwhelmed by so many modules. That is the number one issue overwhelming and is for me in finding the time to track down and organize video tut's which the majority are in a foreign language and more detailed docs to be presented in a start here and how to learn the basic processing modules first. It simply has A LOT of tools, and as a result the interface ends up feeling a bit cluttered and confusing to a first time user." "I’d have to say that it boils down to its learning curve. That's the first and the last argument for me :)
